Waratahs

Back in 2018 I was invited to submit a postcard-sized work for a Blume Illustrated fundraising exhibition in the Blue Mountains. I had recently been given some waratahs and they formed the inspiration for this watercolour art deco design.

Years later this idea was still floating around in my mind and I painted a larger work based on this original design and also embellished with faux gold leaf.

I turned this watercolour into a collection of cards for Gallery H in Dargan, NSW.
